Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Belinkee (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use belinkee.com(the “Service”). Belinkee is a free educational website offering developer roadmaps and courses. We’ve tried to keep both this policy and the Service itself simple: you don’t need an account, and we don’t ask you for personal details to learn here.
Information we store
We do not require you to register or sign in, and we do not ask for your name, email, or other personal information to use the Service. The Service stores a small amount of data locally in your own browser (using localStorage and sessionStorage) to make it work the way you expect:
- Learning progress— which topics and lessons you’ve marked complete, so your progress is remembered on return visits.
- Theme preference — whether you chose light or dark mode.
- Navigation context— the roadmap you arrived from, so the “back” links return you to the right place.
This data stays on your device. It is not transmitted to us, and we cannot read it. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for belinkee.com.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may automatically process standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. This is used to serve the site securely and reliably, and to understand aggregate traffic. We do not use it to identify you personally.
Advertising
The Service displays advertising to support the cost of keeping it free. Third-party advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to measure ad performance and, where permitted, to show more relevant ads. These partners operate under their own privacy policies, and the data they collect is governed by those policies rather than this one.
Depending on your region, you may be able to control ad personalization through the ad provider’s settings or through your browser’s cookie controls. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before non-essential cookies are set.
Cookies and similar technologies
Belinkee itself relies on browser storage (described above) rather than tracking cookies. Cookies that are set typically come from the third-party services we use, such as advertising or analytics providers. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work as intended if you do.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of third parties to operate the Service, which may include our hosting provider, a content delivery network, an advertising network, and privacy-respecting analytics. Each processes data only as needed to provide its service.
Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for a general audience of people learning software development. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Because we don’t hold personal accounts or profiles, most of your data lives on your own device and is fully within your control. If you have questions about your data, or you are in a region that grants rights to access or delete personal data, contact us and we will help where we reasonably can.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
